  1. You can walk to Regal Princes from both Harbor House or Treamont
  2. Miller’s is by Clarion on the Seawall and great breakfast
  3. Live in Galveston. Take Uber weekly. About $60 to Hobby and $120 to IAH. Never had an issue with getting an Uber. May have a wait if you’re first off the ship as most of the drivers are coming from off island. There are cabs as well at the port
  4. If it’s two of you an Uber would be cheaper and more flexible assuming you are flying to Hobby
  5. I live next to Tremont. 5-10 minute walk depending on your stride
  6. 5 minute walk between those terminals. To Royals Terminal catch an Uber
  7. Take Vonlane monthly w Uber from downtown Houston.Never had an issue
  8. I live on the island and do it weekly. Between $50-$75 depending on surge pricing.
  9. I live on the island and Uber all the time. Some drivers prefer staying on the island as they make more with more short rides than 1 long one with an empty ride back to the island. Have Uber and lift on your phone. Or better yet pre reserve an Uber to be waiting at the hotel in the app
  10. SSB live a block from terminal as well in Clark and Court Strand lofts. Do we know each other.
  11. I live on the island as well. Can’t imagine staying at IAH Marriott for vaca when one can stay on the island with restaurants, nightlife and bars. Another option is Hotel Lucerne an new renovated sea wall motel with a hip vibe and great bar. 1950’s retro motel
  12. I would stay in Galveston over Texas City.More to see and do
  13. My suggestion would be to stay on the island. A lot more to see and do than an airport hotel.
  14. There is a huge outlet mall on I45 in Texas City just before the causeway. Nicer than baybrook. https://www.tanger.com/houston/maps#/ Address: 5885 Gulf Fwy, Texas City, TX 77591
  15. I live in Galveston. Tremont and Harbor House are walkable to port. If there are too of you and you are flying into Hobby, just take an Uber to the island. It will be around $50 and easier than waiting for the cruise line bus and most likely cheaper. If you have the funds Tremont is right in the action, great bar. Another classy option is Galvez on the sea wall. There is no commercial service into Galveston airport
  16. I live in Galveston. Hobby is your best bet. Mainly Southwest, but AA and Delta have flights as well. If you have two people Uber is the easiest as your fare will be $50ish. Galveston airport no longer has commercial service. If you leave the ship at 7:00 walkoff with your luggage and grab an Uber most likely be at Hobby by 10ish. I would book later on Southwest and if you get to the airport early you can always try to stand by on an earlier flight which is now free for all status on SW
  17. Volane is great. It will let you off downtown Houston Hyatt. Fare is about $120, but the kicker is the $100 Uber ride to Galveston. Your better off flying to Hobby
  18. Don’t “waist” your points on DaL-HOU. Fares are typically cheap purchases in advance
  19. Not sure first class on an AA Regional Jet to Hobby outweighs the convenience of love field on a 40 minute flight
  20. It will be cheaper, fasterand more convenient to just grab an Uber from Hobby
