Hi.

 

 

 

We are booked on our first MSC cruise. We've wanted to try some different lines, and we happened upon a special and booked a balcony cabin for $1250 total.

 

 

 

But, I'm second guessing myself after reading about Oasis.

 

 

 

What would you do?

The driver made a quick stop for us to take some pictures. From inside the van of course.

It was $10 each way per person, plus the $5 per person to enter the park. $50 total. Well, more with food and rentals.

 

 

 

That guy was SOOOO TALL!!! He went into a store and the lady promised him he had a shirt for him, she asked if 3x would work, Nope maybe more he said.

 

 

Really? When is tomorrow?

Mom went shopping for a little while, but she did not purchase anything.

 

 

Free rum samples? Where? How come there is no one here?

 

 

 

There is a nice water stand there. Both mom and I had a drink there. I do admit, I miss NCLs' party when you board the ship.

We went to the room to shower and change.

 

 

 

I've this yacht before, I think it was in a magazine.

 

 

Is everyone seeing this? 2 magnificent sailboats!!! But just wait until St. Maarten when Gambee lands on Sail Yacht Haven!

These people got really lucky! By the way I heard from word of mouth that we left 7 people in St. Thomas, I guess they were late.

 

 

It was soon time to sail away, so we went to our favorite spot for such activity. Guess where? Mauhahahaha.

It was a really nice sail away, lots of action in the water and on the air. Mom and I were enjoying ourselves, and I was very optimistic that our problem with our neighbors was resolved. Although, I have to say, in a way I felt uncomfortable. I mean, they would stop smoking, but I would have to deal with them for the rest of the cruise. She was just not a nice person, and we did share the same hours on the balcony.

 

I am sure everyone knows how much time I tend to spend on balconies. It is just my private space away from the world =)

We noticed a yacht parked by the coast :D

 

 

And a sail boat.

 

 

 

And then this guy showed up!!! How cool is this?!?!

There must of been 5 yachts there?

 

 

 

That was a very cool carrier.

Back to the room we went, for a change of clothes before dinner. When walking around deck 5 keep in mind that this is the runners track, try to stay out of their way =)

Our neighbors were there and they lit another cigarette. Mom called Juan, and a few minutes later we heard security in their room. Of course they did not catch them smoking, but we were pretty hungry and did not feel like dealing with that then. So we got ready and left.

 

 

Monday? Which day is that?

We had my time dining on Deck 3.

 

 

We did a short line and then waited.

After getting tired of waiting, mom went and asked how much longer it would be. They said we were next. Quite honestly, I don’t know if doing my time dining is worth it anymore. I also recall that we were there quite early, and not at a prime time.

 

At the least in the early seating there is no wait to be seated.

 

 

We were sat promptly after that.

The cheese bread was really good.

 

 

The tables were basically on top of each other. Be careful, they might put another table on top of your head! :D

 

 

I got the escargot, it was really nice.

 

 

Mom’s breaded mushroom, tasteless...

Then my martini came. It took quite a while, and as amatter of fact the order came out wrong. I ordered a dry martini, and I got a dirty martini. Good thing for both them and me, I love both martinies the same =)

 

It was quite yummy!

 

 

 

I also got smoked salmon, mom ended up eating most of it since her appetizer was a no go. I was happy to share, this is exactly why I always over order. Most of the times the stuff she gets is not good.

 

 

I ordered the duck for dinner. It was ok I guess, the texture was super soft, It felt like was left under a warmer for hours. Taste wise? It was also just ok.

 

 

Mom got the steak. She said it was good, but at least the piece she gave me was quite hard. Someone I met in the jacuzzi said the same thing about the steak. Although he claims that the best steak he has ever eaten was in a Carnival vessel. While the steak I ate on the Breeze was really good, it is nowhere near the best I’ve eaten. But again, I thought it was kind of hard.

Mom ordered chocolate banana dessert. I actually passed on dessert, I was way full. Ironically, mom did not care for her dessert, and I loved it. I think that she was not expecting so much banana in it.

We finished our dinner and left. On the way I noticed one of the screens over heated, I guess the screen felt the same way I felt after laying on the sun for 4 days :D

 

 

 

After that we went to the casino, I have never won in a casino. But why not try my luck on Oasis.

We played for some time,

 

 

 

 

 

This was the end result after playing $20. Never trust your money to a chihuahua! At least I did not come super negative. (Spoiler, I lose that ticket....) Although, it was really not our fault.

After that we went to Karaoke for a little while, but it was not too good that night.

 

 

Then we went for a little walk on the Promenade. Dancing lessons.

The promenade is a really exciting area of the ship!

Mom looked for Juan, but it was quite busy there. So we decided to wait until the morning to get some final results to our issue. Something had to be done, because we had enough of them.

 

 

 

 

We went into the watch store for a little while. They have some really nice pieces there. But I will tell you one thing, with the fast internet selling watches there must be very hard. Most people would just go in look around, ask for the price, and then look online.
