adoptivemommy Posted April 7, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 7, 2016 We're booked to sail on the Glory in September. We've always sailed in a 4J, but I decided he needs a surprise. It says in the description that it has a table and chairs on the deck. Are they loungers , or just basic chairs? I suck at keeping surprises but I am hoping I can hold off this time.[emoji41] So excited [emoji2]🙃
dolphin2012 Posted April 7, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 7, 2016 In our balcony rooms there were two regular chairs and a little table. I have seen some of the balcony rooms that are on the AFT side have the lounge chairs ... You can check youtube for a picuture/tour of your room. Enjoy! cbCRR Posted April 7, 2016 #3 Share Posted April 7, 2016 That will be a fun anniversary surprise! I'm doing the same for my hubby in June. He thinks we have an oceanview. There is a website you can see cruise cabin photos. Google for it, and you can see photos that people have posted of many cabins.
kona_wahine Posted April 7, 2016 #4 Share Posted April 7, 2016 (edited) I did the same thing for my DH on our 2nd cruise, Dream to a cove. Loved it. Guess what? Have no desire to go back to an interior. Edited April 7, 2016 by kona_wahine
adoptivemommy Posted April 7, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted April 7, 2016 Not wanting anything less than a balcony in the future came to mind... But then I think of how easy it is to get OT at the hospital, and that a few shifts would cover the difference LOL
MarcelLucSell Posted April 7, 2016 #6 Share Posted April 7, 2016 Don't forget to pre-order your first room service breakfast & coffee to enjoy on your balcony for your first morning. Paradise Found.
diamonddaddy Posted April 7, 2016 #7 Share Posted April 7, 2016 Your wife will love the balcony!
cruiseonthebrain Posted April 7, 2016 #8 Share Posted April 7, 2016 I love this!!! On the Glory we had two chairs (not loungers) and one small table per balcony. It was very nice and enjoyable. I remember trying to surprise my DH for our wedding cruise- he hadn't cruised except for the Navy and I was trying to convince him that our cruise ship would be just like a Navy ship. I could not keep that up. But a balcony room as a surprise should be incredibly fun! Please let us know how it goes!
bakersdozen12 Posted April 7, 2016 #9 Share Posted April 7, 2016 On the Dream last year we had one regular chair and one chair that had a back that would go down so you could lay back. Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
adoptivemommy Posted April 7, 2016 Author #10 Share Posted April 7, 2016 I found pictures and it is two chairs and a table. Still so exciting :) I told him yesterday that I wasn't going to watch sales for an upgrade because we really don't need to spend the money..especially with the dollar not being the best [emoji48][emoji48][emoji48] My step daughter doesn't think I will last 3 weeks without telling him LOL
