Aix en Provence and Cassis. Is both too much for one day?

Is exploring both Aix and Cassis in one day too much if we are porting from Marseille? If we did both, how much time do you think we'd be able to spend in each town?

Has anyone taken a taxi from the port and booked for these two towns in one day? If yes, how much?

Thank you!

Easily done. Go to Aix first (45 minutes) for sightseeing and market. Spend 2-3 hours there. Then a 45 minute drive to Cassis for lunch and boat ride to the Calanques. Back to Marseille in 35-40 minutes.

I wouldn't count on finding a taxi to do that. You are better off with an excursion or renting a car. It depends on how long you have.
