Oahu by bus

Several years ago, DH and I took a city bus from the Ala Moana shopping centre in Honolulu, all the way around the island. The trip took about 4 hours and, of course, there were many stops, but it was very enjoyable. It was an great introduction to Oahu and we'd like to do it again, but can't remember the bus number. Is anyone familiar with this bus?

Thanks, PTWalton1. I googled 'The Bus' and there was a wealth of information including the circle route to the North Shore.

I can't determine if there is an extra price to take this all around the island bus. Standard fare is $2.50/person

There isn't zone charges like other cities and the driver will provide up to 2 transfers on request free of charge.

 

We took TheBus from Waikiki to pick up a car at the airport. It was OK but not sure I would want to spend many hours in it stopping many times and having to transfer buses. But.. if you are going to be there a few days and have time to kill, it is a cheap way to see things beyond Waikiki.
