Rent car at airport but return closer to port??? NOLA

Hi - Renting a car at at airport before spending day precruise. Would love to return it at a location closer to the port than returning back to the airport. Want to book a hotel where we can walk to the port since we're a family of 5. Anyone know which car rental agency has a "closer to port" location where we can drop off the car?:)

I think Budget does, and Avis as well right across the street at the Hilton. Both put you within 1/4 of the ships.

Hertz has one a few blocks from port with shuttle to cruise port

It was a few years ago and I'm terrible with details, but we rented from Budget at the airport. Dropped our luggage off, returned car and enjoyed NO for a couple of hours strolling to the ship.
