Hey Becca,

Did a 2 tanker in ZLO. The first (and deepest) was outside the bay off the rocks at the north end. Much like your typical off-shore dive with rocks, anemones, grouper and the stray tang and angels from the bay. Down to about 90', open water entry with a good swell on the ocean. Operators had trouble keeping the boats away from the rocks, so they sat farther out and picked us up as we surfaced. Even at 90' with a thin suit, it was warm. Vis was about 50'.

The second dive was relatively shallow and is an old freighter that ran aground in a hurricane about 43 yrs ago. The ship is about 300' long and deepest point is about 5' with shallowest at 30'. Able to swim in and out of the cabins, wheelhouse etc. w9ith lots of warmwater fish (angels, blue tangs etc). Vis was about 75' inside the bay.

Off to Aruba next May on the Coral (West Coast repo thru the Canal) and have already booked a 2 tanker, first on the old German freighter "Antilla" and then a reef dive for the shallower of the two.

Secret for jellies from swimming the English Channel...cover your exposed skin with vaseline.

Keep blowin' bubbles Beck and...

Ciao for now!!!
