Matt Mitchum's advance view of the Vista

For those of you in a Havana Cabana on deck 5....I noticed that the glass wall does seem kind of high. I believe the wall is that height for all of Deck 5 from the restaurants on down. So when u look out you will see it but it is glass and I am sure will be kept spotless. It will also keep wind off of you. But also note that unlike lots of other regular balcony cabins, you do not have a solid divider between you and the next cabin so that is likely to promote a great breeze all the way down from the ocean! I know some of you think that the narrow walkway between your cabin and the glass wall may be open at night for others on the ship. I do not think so. I believe this will be private for you lucky Havana people! I expect there will be a gate at each end of the Havana cabanas on deck 5 that will be key card accessed. I am on deck 6 just above you in that lovely aft wrap cabin (at least I hope it is!). It provides access to all Havana stuff but is above the pool. It seems to have a regular height glass balcony wall. Not sure about the height of the glass on deck 5....you will all have to weigh in to Carnival on if you like it or not after you sail as it would not seem too hard to make it half height as the other balcony rails....

And those Havana lanais look huge....like having a front yard on a ship...

the Havana pool area looks cool....hot tubs are huge....I am hoping they can be set to jet & bubble without the heat as well as that would be fun! John Heald if you are reading this....pass it on to the Beards!!

I believe that there will be removable dividers between the patios. It looks like there is hardware on the walls and maybe they don't have them in place to make it easier access for the workers to finish up. I know most ships have removable dividers on reg balconys, I guess we shall see...the anticipation is driving me nutts!!

also hoping for bar servers to frequent that small walkway :)

Jimbo do you see an area outside of the wall on the other side to walk? Definitely the area in between the cabana and the wall won't be for the public I figure. Too close. It's actually what I thought might be the case.

Also the hot tubs look pretty big to me.

My understanding was that would be public walkway. That's one of the reasons I didn't want to book one of those rooms. That the doors leading to them will be locked until 5 pm to provide private pool access but unlocked after 5 pm.

I guess. I don't have Havana rooms booked but I've Been looking at the video off and on all weekend. Lol. Just seems to narrow for people to walk even side by side. I keep thinking there would be a walkway that ramps down on one side then back up on the other for people to walk. But I don't see anything like that. I guess then if it goes the way you're saying that you can only go back there after 5, which is fine. But that walkway still looks too narrow and close to the cabanas for the rest of the ship to use. Maybe most people will just use the inside to get to the pool and jacuzzi. It is a nice space. Just hoping folks who booked back there will be happy.
