Book on the Atlantic Ocean

Can anyone recommend a good general subject book on the Atlantic Ocean ???

 

I don't mean a book about liners, or the history of transportation on the Atlantic, rather a book about the ocean itself. Nothing too terribly scientific as I'm not an oceanographer, but something to give me a greater appreciation of this magnificent entity.

During my weekly perusals through maritme writings at the local bookstore I came across something that perhaps might interest you. It is newly in paperback and titled Great Waters, an Atlantic Passage by Deborah Cramer. I have not read it, though googled the author and came up with the following. Should you give it a gander let us know if it's sea-worthy.
