Yazoo cruiser Posted April 22, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 22, 2016 My wife just tore her miniscus and is renting a scooter for the cruise. We are going to Key West, Nassau and Freeport on May, 8th. She can walk for short distances but we are wanting to take some excursions, knowing they will have to be easy events. Does anyone know of any excursions that will be handicapped accessible where she will be able to take her scooter with her. Any advice will be GREATLY APPRECIATED. RuthlessBoss Posted April 22, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 22, 2016 I can't answer, but have you checked under ports or handicap threads?
mgoswartz Posted April 23, 2016 #3 Share Posted April 23, 2016 Old town trolley in key west, book ahead and they will have accessible trolly running that day. In Nassau the scooter will work in trunk of taxi. It should come apart into 5 pcs. In February we took taxi to Atlantis. Can also walk/scooter to junkaroo beach and/or straw market. Freeport is a dump and not accessible
mgoswartz Posted April 23, 2016 #4 Share Posted April 23, 2016 I should note Carnival is great on the ship helping out the disabled, but they are no help with accessible excursions
