Jodi Cruiser Posted April 25, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 25, 2016 Wondering if the hotel keeps the vendors from bothering you at the beach any info would be great!
Maddysdaddy Posted April 26, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 26, 2016 There were none when we were there a few weeks ago. With how the beach is sheltered on both sides, unless a vendor walked through the hotel lobby, I'm not sure how they would even gain access. Jodi Cruiser Posted April 26, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted April 26, 2016 So glad to hear that there is nothing worse than trying to enjoy the beach with the vendors bugging you. Thanx for the info.
beachbride91011 Posted April 28, 2016 #4 Share Posted April 28, 2016 There were none in February, the beach is blocked on both sides.
Stratus22 Posted April 28, 2016 #5 Share Posted April 28, 2016 We'll be going in August. IS the walk pretty descent?
Maddysdaddy Posted April 29, 2016 #6 Share Posted April 29, 2016 We'll be going in August. IS the walk pretty descent? The walk is quite short - about five or six blocks once you leave port. You turn to the right after leaving the port exit - walking straight until you hit Senor Frogs, and the hotel is pretty much right behind that. misshfitz Posted May 6, 2016 #7 Share Posted May 6, 2016 The walk is very doable even with kids. It is safe as well, you will see lots of tourists walking the same way. The beach is very calm and no vendors allowed.
hoopsreferee2001 Posted May 9, 2016 #8 Share Posted May 9, 2016 I agree the walk is doable, but it's a little misleading. The longest part is getting out of the port, depending on where your particular ship is docked. Total walk I would say, at a normal pace, is probably 20-25 minutes. When it's 85 and your not used to it, the walk can feel much further :)
brepri_h Posted May 11, 2016 #9 Share Posted May 11, 2016 I'm considering this excursions since I've gotten a lot of recommendations. I mapped it out and it looks like a 1/2 mile walk.
hannibal54 Posted May 13, 2016 #10 Share Posted May 13, 2016 I have bad knees & a bunch of other issues, the walk was very easy.

esm54687 Posted June 1, 2016 #14 Share Posted June 1, 2016 (edited) Just booked for a November visit and the Breakaway is in port 1p - 9p... is it a safe walk back to the port after dark? I know Senor Frogs is right there and probably well lit and a lot of people but any one have first hand experience?
