JPEvans Posted May 8, 2016 #2 Share Posted May 8, 2016 I would like to know also. We're on the Navigator. We can't leave till the Conquest leaves.
Missabby Posted May 8, 2016 #3 Share Posted May 8, 2016 There is some radio chatter on PTZ.tv but nothing specific about what is causing the delay.
SMSACE6 Posted May 8, 2016 #4 Share Posted May 8, 2016 don't know why, but I have rarely seen Carnival parked in that place. usually around the other side of that dock.
UTVolsFan4Life Posted May 8, 2016 #5 Share Posted May 8, 2016 The only thing that the Captain referred to on the PTZ.tv radio chatter was an "issue". We board in two weeks so, I hope everything is good.

We boarded from that side last May when there were Navy ships docked on the other side, from the webcam this morning it looked there was another Navy ship docked again. PamalaX Posted May 8, 2016 #8 Share Posted May 8, 2016 We sail on her next Saturday. Not sure what but I heard mention of an *issue* too on PTZ and also heard them say they would be ready to get under way in an hour which would bring them to about 8pm. Berths 21 and 22 are occupied by two Navy destroyers and an attack sub as part of fleet week. I believe berths 19 and 20 are occupied by the USS Bataan (LHD-5), an amphibious assault ship. SMSACE6 Posted May 8, 2016 #11 Share Posted May 8, 2016 I think she be leaving soon, thought I heard in the next 15 min, plus see on the webcam, smoke from the funnel.
BigGuy25 Posted May 8, 2016 #12 Share Posted May 8, 2016 We're also on Navigator of the Seas, docked right behind Conquest. Port Control won't let us depart until the Conquest sails. We're already over two hours delayed. Fortunately, we have seven days at sea before we hit the Azores so we can make up the delay. I wonder if the Conquest is going to have a port issue tomorrow caused by the delay?
SMSACE6 Posted May 8, 2016 #13 Share Posted May 8, 2016 harbor master now says 2030 for the pilot, though Conquest says ready to leave now.

BigGuy25 Posted May 8, 2016 #15 Share Posted May 8, 2016 Is the "radio chatter" you monitor on an app ... or do you have a radio you tune to it?
SMSACE6 Posted May 8, 2016 #16 Share Posted May 8, 2016 (edited) it is heard on the webcam. SMSACE6 Posted May 9, 2016 #25 Share Posted May 9, 2016 nice sailaway, even though a late one, also a more than quiet sailaway. But guess people would be at dinner, or otherwise busy by this time. Still wonder why the late departure, and would be interested to hear of why from anyone on board, or in touch with those on board.
