Luv my furbaby Posted May 10, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 10, 2016 Does the Adventure have the free-style (think that's what they were called on Oasis)?
slvrbllt Posted May 10, 2016 #2 Share Posted May 10, 2016 Nope, no Freestyle machines on Adventure.
AFLCruiser Posted September 8, 2016 #3 Share Posted September 8, 2016 Do you think they will be added during dry dock?
happymanitee Posted September 8, 2016 #4 Share Posted September 8, 2016 My guess is No. I was on Liberty OTS this summer after their dry dock where they added the slides, but no freestyle machines. But, I will report back! We are on Adventure's first sailing after dry dock.
AFLCruiser Posted September 8, 2016 #5 Share Posted September 8, 2016 I'd be interested to find out. Part of me thinks it wouldn't be worth getting the soda package for my kids if they aren't there. Have a great cruise - I look forward to hearing about your trip and about the ship after dry dock.

I have not seen any pre-cruise deals for the soda package.
Sky616 Posted September 8, 2016 #7 Share Posted September 8, 2016 RCI, are you listening? Just put them on all the ships and be done with it.
reedl Posted September 8, 2016 #8 Share Posted September 8, 2016 The issue with the freestyle machines is that they need to get the product for those machines. The flavor cartridges are unique to the freestyle machine and are nothing like the standard Bag-In-Box syrup that standard soda fountains use. For example when you get a Coke with Cherry Vanilla, you get the following liquids dispensed at the same time: - Carbonated water - Coke flavor - High Fructose Corn Syrup - Vanilla Flavor - Cherry Flavor All these liquids are put into the container at the same time. OTOH with the Bag-In-Box, it merely mixes carbonated water with the syrup in a 5 to 1 ratio. That is very simple.

True! I saw a guy working on a machine at Universal the other week. Looked like printer cartridges. Was really weird.
Bigbluegal Posted October 12, 2016 #10 Share Posted October 12, 2016 Cruised Freedom and Oasis with the Royal Rep pkg. IMO, the Coke tastes weird.
sweetlove13 Posted October 13, 2016 #11 Share Posted October 13, 2016 I wish they had this on all ships. Having just the 5 flavors or whatever it is at the bar is so boring!!! Sent from my iPhone using Forums

happymanitee Posted December 9, 2016 #13 Share Posted December 9, 2016 Yes. There are now Freestyle machines on Adventure. I was on the 11/14 sailing and there were 2 in the Promenade and 2 in the Windjamer. Our cruise was only 5 days and the machines were out of service by day 4. I'm assuming they just ran out of supplies because it was the first sailing after dry dock and they were still working out some issues.
