zurmolly Posted May 8, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 8, 2004 We have a flight home from FLL at 11:45..Debarking the Carribean Princess. If we grab a cab to port, are we ok? Our last cruise, (Century) we were at port at 9:30. We had docked at 7am....
marye Posted May 8, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 8, 2004 We are also on the Caribbean Princess next saturday. Ours is at 12:30 and we both will probably be alright. Of course there is a chance that something will delay either of us and cause a stressful ride home.
Rare Coral Posted May 8, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 8, 2004 You should be fine. I always make my flights at 11:30 and have always made them. The only time where it is very busy and the flight time may be too early would be around the holidays.
CaptData Posted May 8, 2004 #4 Share Posted May 8, 2004 Make Sure they know your flight time as soon as you borad and ask for a Red 1 Ticket for disembarkation. This is the first ones off the ship. CruiseFever Posted May 8, 2004 #7 Share Posted May 8, 2004 We had a 10:30AM flight off our Golden cruise out of FLL in March and made it to the airport by 8:30AM, plenty of time. We did get the red early off tags for our luggage and checked the harbor masters report from the internet cafe to be sure there would not be too many ships in port. If there are 4 or more passenger liners in port at the same time cabs might be a problem but on an early off party there's usually plenty. We have a private service we use anyway that's very reasonable and waiting there for us when we get off the ships. If this were Miami it would be a different story but FLL is almost right across the street from Port Everglades. You're fine...just get off early Happy Cruising Chris www.LifeIsCruising.com Next up: Caribbean Princess 06/26/04 Star Princess 10/24/04 Diamond Princess 12/22/04 Carnival Miracle 03/13/
