UK Cruiser2 Posted June 9, 2016 #26 Share Posted June 9, 2016 if you look at the time lapse u will see the hatch below water level at the point of dry dockStevie:) Most ships while in dry dock have an access door burnt out in the ships hull. It's a quick way normally into the engine room etc. This is welded back up again before flooding the dock.

I could have done that for them, my soldering efforts are just like welding
Sailaway487 Posted June 9, 2016 #28 Share Posted June 9, 2016 If you go onto Twitter and search TUI Discovery you can find a lot of pics from the agents/journalists onboard at the moment. Think she's looking brilliant! They've certainly upped their game with this refurb. Bars looks good, atrium looks great, and cabins seem to have all been returbed also from what I can see. Also some really nice black sunbeds around the ship that look much better than the usual.
shot2bits Posted June 9, 2016 #29 Share Posted June 9, 2016 Nice or not, the sunbeds will still get reserved by people for hours on end! Seems to be standard cruise practise.
cariad1000 Posted June 10, 2016 #30 Share Posted June 10, 2016 The cabins that I've seen look identical to the way they were a couple of months ago when she was Splendour.
