mrscannc Posted May 12, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 12, 2016 Advice needed please On my first cruise leaving Saturday I have the labels that were sent to us that we fix round the handles of the cases but they look rather vulnerable to tear, do I for extra security place another in a holder or am I worrying unnecessarily? Never had one of those labels come off. However you can go on line and print some more, follow the instructions and double up. We always have at least 2 per case. nomadgirluk Posted May 12, 2016 #3 Share Posted May 12, 2016 Just do what a lot of others do and laminate the labels with Sellotape. Works a treat.

insanemagnet Posted May 12, 2016 #5 Share Posted May 12, 2016 If you are worried don't put them on until you get to the port. The porters carry staplers to attach them.
john watson Posted May 12, 2016 #6 Share Posted May 12, 2016 I print out the labels on 100 gsm A4, pritt glue them as I fold them up then laminate all round with sellotape. Sellotape the two ends together. You need decent scissors to remove them you cannot just rip them from your cases after the cruise. Also a two labels per case and one on each hand luggage too. rickpo Posted May 12, 2016 #7 Share Posted May 12, 2016 As well as looping a laminated label around the handle I also sellotape one directly on to the face of the case with wide sellotape, but a few strips of narrower sellotape would do the same job. I have never lost one off the handle so they do seem to be quite secure. Rick.
