Jardin Botanico San Juan

We will be in San Juan July 6th (Carnival Magic). We are looking to go to the Botanical Gardens in the university area. I understand it is 300 acres of garden. Perhaps the local CC'ers could tell me what would a taxi cost to ride over there from OSJ cruise port? Thanks.

It's not too far. About a 15 minute ride or maybe $25.00 in a taxi. The gardens are not in a touristy area. They're very beautiful but are more of a research facility than an attraction. So call ahead for hours.

They're open Monday through Fridays from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM except if they fall on any of these Holidays: New Year's, Epiphany Day (Jan. 6), Good Friday, election day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
