kayjaypea42 Posted May 19, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 19, 2016 Hi all. I had never had Muesli before until I tried it on the Escape. It was AWESOME and I wonder if anyone has a recipe that comes close to mimicking it? I loved it, but not enough to book another cruise just yet... Thanks much! Froggitt Posted May 19, 2016 #2 Share Posted May 19, 2016 They use woodchip made from all the furniture removed a during dry dock, and raisins. But any woodchip will do.

Rare steamboats Posted May 19, 2016 #4 Share Posted May 19, 2016 Make a Google search for Bircher Muesli recipe and lots of recipes will pop up. This is a nice read http://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/wordofmouth/2014/oct/23/how-to-make-perfect-bircher-muesli-recipe The main thing is to soak the oats overnight. I do make my own Bircher Muesli daily. But my recipe won´t help you much as I don´t think you will get the ingredients in the US. I use 5 grain flakes, raisins, chia seeds (not necessary), milk and yoghurt - mixed together this soaks overnight in the fridge. I grind my own six grain which soaks in water overnight. In the morning I add walnuts (or any other nuts), a soft dade, one apple and one banana in my food processor (Thermomix). The yoghurt flakes are added and stirred under. As I use skim yoghurt and 1.5% fat milk it´s not that "heavy". Others do use cream and greek yoghurt. steamboats
timberlysmom Posted May 19, 2016 #5 Share Posted May 19, 2016 I buy the muesli in a box and make it like overnight oats... some muesli, yogurt, milk, and cinnamon mixed up in a mason jar. Refrigerate overnight and it's ready when I'm ready to go in the morning!
