if you dock in Cannes or Nice

What are some of the possible shore excursions possible within driving distance? Would it be possible to go to Monte Carlo from either of those ports?

Thanks!

Assuming you mean Villefranche for Nice (only a few very small ships port in Nice) - you can easily go to Monte Carlo from there using the train or 100 bus.

Actually both ports are tender ports.

For Cannes, it's also doable, but you'll use more of your port time in transit. Cannes is ideal for visiting Antibes and St. Paul de Vence. Nice can easily be visited from both Villefranche and Cannes.

All ships must tender in Cannes (which does take some time). Nice actually does have a small port facility that can handle small cruise ships (such as Seabourn or Silverseas vessels). But most cruise line brochures (and itineraries) that reference Nice...usually mean they will tender you into Villefranche....which is only a few miles east of Nice.
