Anyone receive casino BB offer or amazing rate after going home?

Just curios as a non-gambler, how do you get points? Is it every dollar you wager you get a point? I am guessing you probably lose more money than what the free cruise would have cost with the bb offer.

There have been formulas written on CC before, but I don't remember them exactly. As far as your comment about losing more than the cost of the trip, my DH only "lost" $350 at the BJ for the duration of the cruise and the cruise we booked was going for over $800 per person for an inside cabin. According to my math, he only lost 21% of what it would have cost us to book the cruise. Would we have booked that cruise without the offer, probably not, but we would have done something or gone somewhere where they had a casino, so it might as well be on a free cruise.

If I were strictly playing slots, I may not have that opinion, as the slots seem to be extremely tight on a ship (no competition), but since BJ is our game of choice it doesn't matter where we play, odds are the same.

DH got the DOU card, but only because one of the officers (not anyone from the casino) happened by to speak to him and saw that he had the required number of points. He went to the cage and brought the card back to DH. This was near the latter part of the cruise, and it was the first time he had qualified and didn't really know for sure how many points you needed. The guy told DH it was 1500 points and that he should have been drinking for free while playing for a good while (although DH claims he had only hit 1500 the day before). Anyway, I know he didn't come close to 5000 points, but I was expecting him to receive some kind of offer from the casino when the new offers came out, since he has gotten those PTC offers with casino cash and discounts on cruises before when he played way less than this time. He did get an offer recently, but our PVP said it only comes with $40 casino cash, so we probably won't book another cruise just for that, and I checked the discounts, and they don't seem that good for any cruise that we'd be interested in. We already have a cruise booked in February 2017, and the casino offer doesn't apply since you have to sail by January 2017. Oh well, I guess it's just lucky he was even on the radar. He has fun playing slots, so I guess any offer is a bonus.

That is a great deal! I once was at a concert at Mohegan Sun and the guy next to me got everyone around him a free round. He said he never needs to pay for any food or drink in the casino. When I asked him how he did, he said the year before he lost $21,000 there. I think he paid plenty of the food and drinks :D

On a 7 day cruise, reaching 1500 points gets you the drinks on us (DOU) card. 5000 points gets you a bounceback (BB) offer. A BB offer usually comes as a letter delivered to you on the last night of the cruise that gives you a free interior cabin (taxes and port charges not included) that has to be booked within 2 weeks and taken within 3 months. There are variations to this like having 6 months to sail, etc. If you already have a future cruise booked, you usually won't receive an offer. Again, there are variations to this like you could receive a letter stating you already have a cruise booked, so call to see if your booking can be converted, etc.

As you can see, no one should receive a BB offer without receiving a DOU card first. But, who knows what leeway they have in doing such things.

Not true, just got off the Breeze 8 day almost 2 months ago--had 3200 points and received a BB--my first ever. I do get the 50 pack n plays and the premiers, and I always earn about 3000 pts per cruise--all slots.

I cruise 1 time a year--a few times twice. Never have a future booking when I cruise.

What do y'all mean as booked as the lead person?

My name is the first name on the reservation, passenger 1. I don't know if it makes a difference in why DH got the BB and I didn't, but it might since I "risked" more money than he did in the casino and he's the one who got the BB offer. I don't know, maybe the pit boss likes him better than me :)
