Best of Skagway Excursion through Princess

Has anyone done the Best of Skagway excursion? It is a 6.5 hour tour that includes railroad, bus, panning for gold, salmon lunch and Red Onion Saloon. Would like to hear your thoughts on this excursion.

I was on the Best of Skagway with HAL. I expect it's the same excursion with Princess looking at the site...

I enjoyed the tour as I found it offer good value with multiple activities for first timers.

• I loved seeing the historic aspects of what was discussed from Liarsville, Red Onion (check out the calendar!) and the train
  
• the train is frequently considered a must-do for a first timer. The trip shows you the various microclimates.
  
• some may feel the gold panning in Liarsville to be limited.
