This may seam kind of silly but if i make my final payment now for a dec sailing can i still take a price drop or cancel ? I know i should just wait but i would like to get get my credit card points to meet my purchases for my bonus.

Yes....but you may want to read the thread on an administrative fee being charged (at least in the UK) for price changes.

Yes, you can get price breaks and, at least in the US, you would get a full refund if you cancel before final payment is due
