Axita1 Posted June 5, 2016 #1 Share Posted June 5, 2016 (edited) Has anyone traveling from Rome on Azamara had things stolen from the luggage before they were brought to the cabin on the first day or during debarkation? Rare uktog Posted June 5, 2016 #2 Share Posted June 5, 2016 Never had an issue at any Azamara port and never had an issue with any cruises at Rome. Luggage is always locked and case covered by a case skin so it's probably too much effort if anyone was tempted
BillC Posted June 5, 2016 #3 Share Posted June 5, 2016 I second Ann's response. We always lock our luggage and carry our valuables in our carry on bags. We have never had a problem on any of our cruises, other than another passenger taking my bag in Stockholm! Liesel, who was the Guest Relations Manager, was able to intercept the bus carrying the bag and retrieved it for us, and delivered to our hotel in town. Still don't understand how it happened since we have 8 inch labels with our names on each of our pieces, in addition to several other distinctive ID's such as our Travel Guard policies. All's well that ends well !
aussie travel bird Posted June 6, 2016 #4 Share Posted June 6, 2016 We've never had an issue, either onboard or at the port in Rome, but good common sense prevails and I always carry my jewellery and valuables with me until I can put in the safe onboard. malcliz Posted June 6, 2016 #5 Share Posted June 6, 2016 We have never had an issue at the port in Rome but we had items stolen while travelling back via Rome Airport after our last cruise. When our case arrived at Heathrow it was taped up as it had been cut open and several items stolen. BA were really good and gave us the cost of all the items stolen and replaced the case within 2 days.

Dwtlion Posted June 6, 2016 #8 Share Posted June 6, 2016 I would clearly be thinking baggage handlers at airports and not at the pier.
