cruise saint Posted June 7, 2016 #1 Share Posted June 7, 2016 We will be on Britannia in September for our first ever cruise and have a couple of questions about formal nights. Are they more likely to be on sea days? Do they include speciality restaurants? Also, when are they likely to be announced?
davecttr Posted June 7, 2016 #2 Share Posted June 7, 2016 We will be on Britannia in September for our first ever cruise and have a couple of questions about formal nights. Are they more likely to be on sea days? Do they include speciality restaurants? Also, when are they likely to be announced? Yes, usually on sea days Yes they include the speciality restaurants except the beach house. On Britannia the glass house is closed for meals during the captains reception as it occupies the atrium. ps - the glass house used to be informal giving a nice alternative for formal night but P&O have recently made it formal, in my opinion a bad business decision. They have changed it into a restaurant anyway, moving away from the excellent original concept of a bar serving food.
David Owl Posted June 7, 2016 #3 Share Posted June 7, 2016 If there aren't enough sea days they would have formats when there is an afternoon or early departure
mondas42 Posted June 7, 2016 #4 Share Posted June 7, 2016 I was told that they don't use sea days as formal days if it's the last day, as people are packing.
mandylennon Posted June 10, 2016 #5 Share Posted June 10, 2016 Yes, you don't usually get a formal night on the last night as cases have to be packed and outside your cabin by 8. The last night is casual.
