Casinos

Six of us will be here in December. We are thinking about doing a private tour that lasts about four hours. Then we may just walk around. One in our group really likes casinos. She doesn't gamble much money new but likes the fun of it.

 

What can you tell me about the casinos? Are they typically really crowded with ships in port?

I have only looked into St. Martin casinos a couple of times - they never seemed that crowded - but always struck me as depressing alternatives to what else the island offers.

I've never noticed any change in how crowded the Casinos are depending on Cruise traffic.

 

There are at least four casinos along or just off of Frontstreet, the main shopping street in Philipsburg.

 

Our favorite is Rouge et Noir. Complimentary drinks are offered, even on the 'Penny' slots. :)

Now that the word is out on the free complimentary drinks at the "Penny" slots is out to the cruisers, look out! :D

Some of the casinos also have free clean convenient restrooms - if you can find them in the dark of the casino coming in off the street from the bright sunshine - not that I would know of that problem.

 

And I didn't even know about the free drinks!!!
