Rare Host Bonjour Posted June 11, 2016 #2 Share Posted June 11, 2016 A general strike has been called in France for Tuesday, June 14.Strikes continue for the trains (SNCF), all transportation in Paris, garbage collection, and Air France (June 11-14). Indeed there have been/are many strikes or threats of strikes taking place in Paris and all around France to protest a new labour law in France. Recent details of what is happening, along with the planned day of PROTESTS on June 14, NOT strikes, is covered in this article. Strikes continue...but please check news outlets for daily details and updates as to exactly what is affected and when so that you are best aware when your travel dates are near. Hopefully you'll not be too terribly inconvenienced by these actions. Please keep yourselves attuned to alerts from abroad - sources from the UK (BBC, The Telegraph, Guardian, etc) in English are probably your best bet for up to date information. Cheers. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/06/09/french-strike-chaos-deepens-24-hours-ahead-of-euro-2016-as-union/
