What is procedure (1st timer!)

Recommended Posts

Can someone help with the procedure please below, being a first timer unsure how all this works! This is on the Thomson majesty, doing the med tour.

1) On landing at the airport do you go straight to the ship to book in. We'll land about 1pm, ship leaves at 11pm

2) are we entitled to board and use the facilities straight away, lunch, dinner etc? Can we come off/on after, is it far to go somewhere?

3) if not do Thomson take your luggage on board and you can stay in Palma or somewhere for a bit?

4) when you leave, as we may goto hotel afterwards as part of the package, do Thomson take your luggage, and you get on bus, or do we have to get luggage?

Thanks

1) You look for the Thomson's rep after you collect your luggage from the carousel who will direct you to the coach that will take you straight to the ship.

2)Yes,you can use all the facilities once onboard. You can go back ashore but you will need to be back onboard again for the muster drill.

3)See above answer.

4) If you are part of a Thomson's cruise & stay they will direct you to a coach to take you to your hotel, Not sure of collecting your luggage as we have never done a cruise & stay. When not on a cruise and stay you walk off the ship and collect your luggage from a baggage hall. Thomsons may do a self disembark procedure where you keep your luggage on the last night and take it off yourself in the morning of disembarkation.

Yes you can use the ships facilities right away. Your luggage will be delivered to your cabin sometime after you board. No need to wait at your cabin for it. There will be cases sitting outside cabins all day and evening. Go ashore if you wish. I think Majesty is in the normal Thomson berth at Palma and there is a local bus service into town form nearby. Others can give more details.
