New to NCL - Help Please

hello everyone, and thanks in advance for the great information I know I will receive.

Have been on Princess, Celebrity, HAL, Carnival & RCCL.

Looking to book a 7 carib., don't care Eastern or Western, have done both numerous times. Please provide some insight about the difference in NCL. The casual dining sounds good to me, no formal night or not having to get dressed up sounds good also. What about making reservations day of for resturants, is this frustrating??

We love balcony cabins or suites, had a SS on last HAL cruise and spoiled us I'm afraid. Looking for a fun ship, good casino, and great cabin.

What are the best size cabins, minus the garden villas - can't afford those - would like to have a good size bathroom (sounds like NCL does a good job with bathrooms), balcony at least 100sq ft or so if possible, at least a couch and chair with room to move in cabin and good storage space, although without the formal nights can be slightly less than other ships.

How is room service menu?

TV channels?

Service?

Easy to navigate ships?

Any and all information on NCL will be greatly appreciated.

If you want 7 days eastern or western, great ship, first choice would be the NCL Jewel. Brand new with a great crew. Lots of suites.

If room service is important book an AE or better penthouse. They come with butler service that includes the ability to have food from any restaurant served in you suite. All other cabins including mini suites have a limited room service menu.

AE and AB are aft facing. Great view all the services not that large. AC and AA are forward facing with larger balconies and bathroom. The AA has two balconies.

The AB has a small balcony but offers two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master bath is wonderful pictured below.

The Sun is your second option I have pictures on an AD on page two of the link below.

And if you want to see the size of a particular cabin on the Jewel (or any of the other ships for that matter) you can use this link. Just select the ship from the drop down list and enter the cabin number.

I can't take the credit for creating this link - thanks to whoever it was (sorry, forgotten who provided it).

Does anyone out there have the equivalent pic of the bathroom in an AC in front (or at least point out the differences)?

I'm booked in an AC for the first time, and would like to know what to expect in the bathroom.

Thanks.

wait til Shoreguy gets back, he may. As for specific information:

Freestyle is one of the features that brings up back to NCL as well as a wonderful crew, good ports and great entertainment.

The best casino so far is on the Jewel. The Sun rated second on our list.

Room service unless you are in a suite may be a bit of a disappointment. The selection isn't great but the service is good.

One of the things that sets NCL apart is, not only the casual dress but the choice of eateries. No other line offers such a variety.

As for activities and night life I would say it falls between Carnival and Celebrity: much like RCI.

Hope this helps you a bit.
