bellemere Posted June 21, 2016 #1 Share Posted June 21, 2016 On the Queen Victoria for a trip from Rome to Barcelona. What excursions would you highlight as not to be missed on this trip? Ports are Rome, Naples, Florence, Genoa, Monte Carlo, Valencia, Barcelona. Also Cagliari and Ajaccio. Did you do it on your own, ship excursion, or private company? Doing planning now so would like some help. Thank you.
Ray66 Posted June 21, 2016 #2 Share Posted June 21, 2016 You can do your own thing in Monaco. The ho-ho bus stops near the ship and takes you all the way round. So we did that in the morning, back to the ship for lunch. Then back on the ho-ho bus and got off and back on again at various stops. Barcelona we did the ship's Gaudi tour to the Sagrada Familia and Park Guell. But you could take the ho-ho bus if you want to do your own thing. In Rome (from Civitavecchia) we took the ship's tour, Panoramic Rome, to the Colosseum. Not done the other ports, sorry.
LondonTowner Posted June 21, 2016 #3 Share Posted June 21, 2016 We never take ship Excursions. You can easily do all those ports either on your own or with a local operator. There is plenty of information on the Ports of Call boards and on Tripadvisor
