Transportation from Texas City to cruise terminal.

Looking to book a hotel in Texas City for one night prior to our cruise as it is less expensive. What transportation option are there for getting to the cruise terminal the next morning? I read a posting that suggested a taxi but if I have to pay $50-60 for a taxi it almost negates the lower cost of the hotel room.

Any suggestions?

Bill I am looking at our options also, we go out next July 2017, and now thinking perhaps if we end up renting a car, instead of staying near the iAH Airport, we take off and go half way, cutting our driving time to the Terminal. This will be our first time in Galveston, our other options is to go right into Galveston at the La Quinta Inn East Seawall where friends will be staying and leave car at the hotel and shuttle over.
