CU64 Posted June 24, 2016 #1 Share Posted June 24, 2016 Those of you who have cruised on this ship: sheltered aft balcony OK or other recs.....we usually like aft balconies. Thank you in advance. Barbara
Underwatr Posted June 25, 2016 #2 Share Posted June 25, 2016 It might depend on the itinerary. In cold or rough weather a sheltered balcony remains useful when an open balcony would be too wet or windy. A sheltered balcony is the most reasonably priced full-view balcony cabin. When you're standing in the room or on the balcony the view out is quite good - you're below the Deck 7 promenade so you can see straight down to the water. But if you're seated in the room or on the balcony your only view is the sky (not that there's anything completely wrong with a view of the sky...). We almost always book a sheltered balcony on QM2. Yes, to all of the above. Also a note about aft balconies. The only aft balconies on QM2 are Queens Grill suites.
