Cane Garden Bay or Brewers Bay

My husband and I traveled to Tortolla last year and we did the Bath's tour. We are traveling in June with our 3 adult children on a limited budget. Although we loved the Baths we are considering a beach in Tortolla. Can anyone give me some more info on the beaches there, taxi rides, costs, chair rental and most importantly we love to snorkel. Where is the best place to snorkel? I did hear that you can do the BAth's on your own, and we are considering this but we just want to know what our other options are.

CGB is a wonderful beach but no good snorkel spots and its my 10 year old's favorite beach in the world...Brewers has the snokeling and is just over the hill (You can not walk between the two!) Both will leave you wanting to go back

Hi 64, Thanks so much for the info. Can you please tell me if you can rent chairs there and also if there is a bar/restaurant? Also, do you remember how much it costs each way for a taxi ride there?

Thanks for asking this.... I have Tortola as my beach backup day if HMC gets cancelled. I'm not really interested in going to Virgin Gorda (well, I am, but nobody else in the group is) :rolleyes:

CGB has multiple beach bars and places to eat also a small grocery store "Bobby's" across the street from Myetts. Brewers has one small beach bar and probably a vendor or two on cruise days...If your a Jimmy Buffet fan Stanleys at CGB is the place that he wrote Cheese Burger in Paradise about. Chairs are available and normally free if you buy a beer or two at any beach bar
