NickandJonsmom Posted June 28, 2016 #1 Share Posted June 28, 2016 Good morning, I was wondering, if I order a bottle of vodka to be sent to the cabin, and we finish it, can we order another one? Thanks in advance

aqua blue me Posted June 29, 2016 #9 Share Posted June 29, 2016 You can order the Beers through room service and request ice. I've always seen them delivered cold.
Rh2458 Posted June 29, 2016 #10 Share Posted June 29, 2016 (edited) Does anyone know if beer is delivered cold? Do you save gratuities ordering ahead of time? No, it's not if you are talking about the Fun Shop orders. But, one request of your room steward and it will be kept on ice (if you bring a cooler-or preordered the cooler with the beer) the entire cruise. aqua blue me Posted June 29, 2016 #11 Share Posted June 29, 2016 You are allowed only to order two bottles of liquor through fun shops pre cruise only and can order more through room service if wanted they charge 15% tips.
EpcotBill Posted June 29, 2016 #12 Share Posted June 29, 2016 Do you have to pay taxes on bottles ordered pre-cruise through the Fun Shops? If you order it to be delivered the first night instead of on embarkation you don't pay tax. I just did this on Magic. Even though I ordered it for the first night the bottles were already in the room when I got there. I've done this a few times, only once were they delivered after 5:00 pm. Bostwick girl Posted June 29, 2016 #14 Share Posted June 29, 2016 (edited) I ordered a bottle of crown at $85, and was charged $5.53 tax for a total of $90.53. A couple of days later, I ordered a bottle of Malibu at $80 and was also charged tax in the amount of $4.80 for a total of $84.80. I ordered these about a month before the cruise 5/19, and requested to have them in room on Embarkation. They were in the room when we arrived. Have never tried to order from room service, so good to know you can do so. Only thing I didn't like about ordering it from the Fun Shops pre-cruise is that you couldn't use Carnival Gift Cards to pay for it. All in all, it's still nice to have it in the room when you get on board and if you're a light drinker, it's definitely worth the price although it sounds expensive vs buying drinks from the bars. Maybe next time I'll ask for it to be delivered on the first night instead of Embarkation. Edited June 29, 2016 by Bostwick girl Added another sentence. CozGurl Posted June 30, 2016 #15 Share Posted June 30, 2016 (edited) Those bottles are expensive but they still save a bit over ordering from the bar. And we like to sit on our balcony and have per-dinner cocktails (or a nightcap) which is more convenient if you have a bottle in your room and don't have to schlep to a bar. There is just no way we'll get our money's worth from the Cheers package. We won't drink every night and the nights we do it won't be $50 worth. A $75 bottle of vodka will last me all week. ETA: What if we wait and order it from room service once in our room? Will it be the same cost (no tax) except they'll add the 15% gratuity? Thanks for the info.
