Bringing alcohol on board

I am sure this has previously been covered, but, can we bring champagne, wine, beer, or soda aboard? Can we just bring it in our carry on, or in a box? How much is allowed if at all? We heard that you can bring on wine, but are charged a corking fee, does this apply if it is consumed in your room? Thank you much!:)

We took 4 cases of wine with our group on the Dawn 10/11. Put our Princess luggage tags on the boxes and they arrived at the cabins in plenty of time for sail away!! Took wine with us to the dining room (personal choice) and never was charged a corking fee!! If you don't finish your bottle (yeah, right) they keep it for you until next time. Best thing we did was bring that wine on board. We still drank our fair share of drinks in various bars and pool side but it sure was nice to sit on our balcony and have wine before we set out for the night!!!
