DALSAL Posted June 30, 2016 #1 Share Posted June 30, 2016 Going on LOTS July 10. Are they allowing small amounts of water or soda to be brought on the ship? If so, in checked luggage? Thanks, Dot

Thanks, Dot Technically against the rules, but they usually allow it. We've had better luck in checked bags.
Reina del Mar Posted July 1, 2016 #3 Share Posted July 1, 2016 Saw several passengers wheeling cases of water on board on 22nd. May, 2016, without any problems. We were not even questioned about the quantity of wine we were boarding with. (Not an issue as we had a drinks' package) Water in buffet/ dining room fine to drink but didn't drink water in cabin..although some posters have said it's treated in same way so tastes the same. DALSAL Posted July 2, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted July 2, 2016 I knew they said no, but someone from RCCL said some ports let you, if you don't go crazy. Just wondering about Galveston. I think I will try putting a small amount in my checked luggage.
Rare dna1990 Posted July 2, 2016 #5 Share Posted July 2, 2016 Just carried in a 18 pack of DP this week. Checked bags are fine for water, but carry on better for unshaken soda. Galveston only seems to care around spring break weeks. Even then, modest amounts seem tobe just fine. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

leen50 Posted July 4, 2016 #7 Share Posted July 4, 2016 They usually don't want a lot of liquids in checked bags. The bags get tossed & piled like cord wood. If anything leaks, the liquid spreads to the bags below.
