i have sailed on a few ships in p&o fleet so i know that previous ships we couldn't plug into hdmi ports and play laptop or tablets through them has this change on Britannia as i'm sailing at the start of september.

I don't think it has. We didn't try but I believe others have and reported on here that it didn't work - some kind of software compatibility issue I think.
