Does anyone know how far in advance Celebrity releases the hotels for their cruise tours. We will be starting cruise-tour 8B on May 27, 2017. We will be arriving in the very early morning of the 26th, and would like to book into whatever hotel Celebrity will put us up in so we would not have to change.

You usually do not find out until the cruise docs are ready, about 7 weeks prior to the cruise. Typically they use Sophie Station or Pikes Waterfront Lodge. On our last cruise tour we called the hotels about 4 months prior and they were able to tell us if our cruise tour was staying at their hotel. If they don't know and don't have a non refundable deposit you could book at both and cancel one when you are sure.

Not sure if the Celebrity Land Tours are quite the same as RCL, but we were on RCL Land Tour 8B (6 night) in July 2015. We stayed at Sophie Station. We flew up 3 days early and rented a car to take in the local sights and get used to the time difference. If you have not committed yet to arriving one day early, I would suggest considering arriving 2-3 days early. It really helps to get used to the time difference from home (the sunrise at 3AM and sunset at 1AM) (roughly) before you start the scheduled times of the Land Tour.

We called Sophie Station and asked them about the land tours. They told us that RCL had reserved a lot of rooms. We reserved the room for the early arrival with the assurance that they would let us cancel if need be.
