Noelle2016 Posted July 10, 2016 #1 Share Posted July 10, 2016 We are planning a sailing trip around the Whitsundays in 2018. I am wondering if anyone can comment on the pros and cons of the weather in early June vs early September? Would either time be about the same in terms of water temp, water visibility, and wind speed?
Karennella Posted July 14, 2016 #2 Share Posted July 14, 2016 We have an apartment on Hamilton Island and so go there every year but at different times. The driest and most pleasant weather should be in September. We were there last year the last week of August and it was perfect, so much so that we are returning this year at the same time. Not sure about the water temperature though. It could still be warm after the summer in June. Actually we have only been up there once in June and it was very pleasant. But all weather in Australia is very variable.
