CB Pier number

For the recent CB cruisers, can you answer the following question.

Since we are driving down for our cruise, which pier does CB leave from and does it return to the same pier.

IS the pier adjacent to the parking garage.

AS I recall we had one cruise where the pier was on the other side of the port from the parking garage and it was a real problem getting to the car and getting back to the pier .

Thanks

Ken

Hey Sue:

Thanks for the answer. I did one cruise where we were on the opposite end of the port from the parking garage and that was a real trip...............

This is my first Princess Cruise- any tips? Things not to miss.

Going on Celebrity next summer to Alaska and really do like Celebrity but this is an itinerary for me - like the sea days to just relax and read.

Thanks

Ken

Hi, Ken! I was on the CB on 9-17-05, and had a great time!! Yes...the pier is literally right across the street from the parking garage. We were diverted from Eastern (3 ports) to Western (4 ports) due to Rita. Although it was a great cruise, some things to keep in mind: We had to stand outside in the heat and humidity for an hour before we could get inside the terminal. Best to get there around 1:30 or so. The ship is very difficult to navigate...not all elevators go to all floors. There's a handy little pocket-diagram that's very helpful (will be in your cabin). The showers are (to put it mildly)..tiny! I am 5' 7"/140 lb and had to stick my whole butt out of the shower when I dropped my soap! The Spa personnel were (IMO) very snotty. On the other hand, the food was great!! Three nights of crab legs and lobster! MUTS was also good...especially the 11:00 p.m. "Rocky Horror Picture Show"! The PIZZA was the very best, and I pretty much pigged out on it. Pretty much:D ! The band, Tenacity" was wonderful. I won in the Casino at BlackJack. No towels in the pool area or getting off at ports - they are left in your cabin...two at a time. I had to ask for extra. Not-So-Good shipboard shops (no $10.00 areas or discounts on the last day). You can only get (bad) coffee, tea, and water in the buffets. (No lemonade or punch.) You have to pay for ice cream at Scoops. Room service breakfasts were limited to cereal, fruit, danishes and croissants...and bad OJ. No full breakfasts. Pools were very nice! Loved docking in downtown San Miguel in Cozumel. (Wonder how soon I can get back there, and hope those wonderful residents will be OK!) The C.D., James Lay, kept making "sniping" comments about Carnival, which I - and a lot of others - thought was pretty inappropriate. MUST SEE: Bert Stratton and Music Man. Coral Dining Room - excellent!! Bar service - fair to middlin'. Complaints about major sports events not being available in the "Sports Bar". Take note: They put the butter pats in with the cheeses. I figured this out when I tried to spread Feta cheese on my sesame roll. All in all, I had a great time, and hope you do, too!

KenM,

there are a couple of parking garages at the cruise docks.....just follow the road signs....they list each cruise boat in port that day and point you in the right direction. We too have had to retrieve the car after arriving at the port, but I suspect the CB will arrive and depart the same pier (I think it is pier 2)

Sue:

Thanks for those concise, complete bullets on the cruise highlights.

You appear to be well organized- a good trait. Will put your info to work.

Chrysalis: Thanks for the pier info...

Ken
