Boarding Pearl in Seattle - Suite vs Haven

We just booked the Pearl out of Seattle in a Penthouse Suite, which is not a 'haven suite'. Been reading about the differences and haven't seen any comments about boarding.

When we were in the Haven on Epic, there was a separate area to get checked in, a nice little waiting room, then we got escorted onto the ship. Anyone have experience in non-haven suite boarding in Seattle?

Thanks

There will be a separate line for suites and platinum etc returning passengers. Once you go up to the check in area you will see it on the right. Nothing fancy that I noticed but I wasn't staying in a suite either.

Boarding for both Suite and Haven as well as VIP is all the same.

There is a table set up on the right hand side of the luggage check in area.

The sign above reads Suites and VIP check in. There will be people there with clipboards checking you in - then they will escort you to the front of the security line where you will go through the detectors, then you will be escorted upstairs where you will enter the suites lounge - there will be chairs and a table full of snacks. Once you are checked in you will be taken onboard by one of the butlers and either taken to your cabin to drop off your luggage, or to Modernero for your lunch.

On the Jewel class ships the only difference between the "S" class suites and the "H" suites is actual access to deck 14 and the Haven.

On the newer ships all suites are "H" class and all have Haven access as that is where the Haven restaurant is located.

Enjoy your suite life in AK on the Pearl.

Just did a suite on the Pearl 2 weeks ago, a 2 bedroom family suite. You are going to love it. Boarding is just like bonvoyagie said. Our cabin was not ready so they brought us right to Cagney's for lunch. After the first day breakfast and lunch were in Moderno's.

Just got off the Pearl on Sunday (yesterday). Had an aft penthouse suite. Suite and haven guests have separate check in. There is a table off to the right of the regular line where you check in. They will escort you through the security line and then to a private lounge. Then they will escort you onto the ship, to cagneys for lunch. For the rest of the trip, they use moderno for breakfast and lunch for suite guests. We had a wonderful experience. You will love it!!

  • 2 months later...

There is a football game the day we cruise so we are intending to get to Seattle early to beat the game traffic. Our goal is to be parked by 10AM - the cruise info says that boarding starts at 12PM and that we should be there no more than an hour before.

Will we be able to get into the terminal that early? Or would we be better off getting a cup of coffee and watching the Hawks fans get ready for the game?

Thanks
