Star Princess

In March 05 took a 30 day w/Star from Bangkok to Venice with friends. The ship is nice and food okay. The friends just returned from another trip on the Star from China and Singapore and said the food wasn't as good, we're only had a brief visit since their return.

A big problem with the Star is that if you are docking at our of the way ports as we did in Egypt, where you have 2-3 hour drives, they dumped everyone at the same site ... way tooo many people and obviously very crowded. Then upon returning to the ship we had up to 2 hour waits to get back on thru security as everyone returned at the same time ! Then as no one had eaten in hours .... they had closed down one side of the buffet, not happy campers on those outings. In many ports we didn't take the ship tours, made a deal with a taxi on dock and did our own thing.
