Floflegs Posted October 30, 2005 #52 Share Posted October 30, 2005 This must be the gold medal of reviews, Coka. I am intrigued as to what you do in the real world. You're not a minister are you???
swoosh2005 Posted October 30, 2005 #53 Share Posted October 30, 2005 LOL!!! Yes, sista-you should write a cruise novel-base it on your personal experience!
pieshops Posted October 30, 2005 #54 Share Posted October 30, 2005 great review, a few questions: What time did you arrive at the pier for departure what time were you allowed on the ship Thanks
Balkan Soul Posted October 30, 2005 #55 Share Posted October 30, 2005 Coka, as usual, I enjoyed your cruise tales. Would have especially liked to have seen your Fred Flinstone rendition...I'm still laughing. Makes me think I should have given up the trip to Africa afterall, and gone along. So...what's this about visiting Romania? Are you really coming my way before I head back to the States?
coka Posted October 31, 2005 Author #56 Share Posted October 31, 2005 LOL on the minister guess! One could say I do a little preaching on a daily basis! Actually, the clue is in the review! Pieshops, we arrived at the pier around 1:15 and we were in our cabin by about 2:15. My cousins arrived earlier and they had an easy time. My understanding is that those who arrived early had to wait for the Panama Canal cruisers to debark as it took a while to clear the ship. On 10/23 it was a ghostship by 10:10am so I am sure they began embarkation right away. Will see what the 10/23 cruisers report. BalkanSoul, Go to Sao Tome' and I will stuff the turkey myself here at home. When will you ever get the chance to do that again? We are looking at Romania next June/July. I plan on being in your neck of the world way before that. Coka

gcjstri Posted November 1, 2005 #62 Share Posted November 1, 2005 Do you know if a regular balcony cabin can check in along with the Penthouse cabin if they are booked together? Our family has 2 cabins booked (Penthouse and Balcony) and want to stand in the correct line. Hi Schubes, my husband and i were in a penthouse last october on the Star and my daughter and her husband had an ocean view room. When my husband and i were checking in i asked the guy if i could bring my daughter and her husband over so he could check them in also and his reply was u can do anything u want (no problem). minimom
newmexicoNita Posted November 1, 2005 #63 Share Posted November 1, 2005 coka, it is a pleasure re-living many cruises through your writings. After some of the threads on here in the past week or so, we need something to take our minds off of the problems facing the cruiselines and the passengers right now.
