Hydro pool lover Posted July 14, 2016 #1 Share Posted July 14, 2016 We will be in Falmouth next week and are considering getting a day room at the Hilton Rose Hall. Has anyone reserved it directly from Hilton? Are taxis to and from easily available? How much for each ride? How long is the taxi ride from the ship? And, is it easy for the return? CCC3 Posted July 14, 2016 #3 Share Posted July 14, 2016 We did this last year, and found it easier to book through resortforaday.com. The transportation was reliable, and they made sure we were back to the dock on time. This was a fabulous excursion and the place is beautiful. We loved it. CCC3 Posted July 14, 2016 #4 Share Posted July 14, 2016 Seems like from Falmouth, it was a 25 min drive, IIRC.
oneputt18 Posted July 14, 2016 #5 Share Posted July 14, 2016 We also used resort for a day, no problems at all.
Hydro pool lover Posted July 14, 2016 Author #6 Share Posted July 14, 2016 (edited) Resort for a day looks great but going directly through Hilton is a little less money, not a factor. The plus would be being able to spend less time at the resort if necessary(or leave anytime we wish) and the use of a room to change and shower. Getting taxis each way is our main concern. setsail Posted July 14, 2016 #7 Share Posted July 14, 2016 A review with lots of pics. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1959571&page=13 Taxi will be 40-50 each way. Plenty of taxes, about 25 min
tamilyn Posted July 14, 2016 #8 Share Posted July 14, 2016 We also used Resort for a Day and it worked out great. The only problem we had was finding where to meet them at the port (although probably our fault). As I recall, there were adequate places to change clothes without having a room. All in all, a fun day and a beautiful place.
TheIL Posted July 23, 2016 #9 Share Posted July 23, 2016 excuse me for using this thread. but we are a family with 3 kids: 18,13,3 tried to book a day room with hilton directly. the problem is: for 2 adults, 2 kids its 282USD. but adding additional adult (because of the 18years old) bumps the price to 870USD for a suite. i thought of the following: get a day room for 2adults+2kids for 282USD, and buy a day pass for 85USD . this would come out cheaper than resort_for_a_day plus we get a room what do you think ?
