Is anyone else on Cosmopolitan Classics on 24th September on Discovery? If so, can you confirm that the last port on the Friday is Barcelona and not Palamos? Cruise Timetables has her booked into Palamos :rolleyes:

 

So, if she is going to Barcelona, has anyone done the "Barcelona and Sagrada Familia" trip with Thomson. If so can they tell me if they actually go into the cathedral or just view it from outside?

We've done that excursion and yes we went inside the cathedral. It was very interesting to see. Good job the contractor isn't on a penalty clause :)

Hi Linda,,didn't do the ship trip but I do know from experience that it is nigh on impossible to just rock up on the day and get in to the sagrada familia! The ticket queue is for tomorrow's tickets not same day. Everybody pre books now,,'twas the same at the Vatican.,,and the uffizi gallery in Florence. Barcelona is great innit:D fabulous place.

We did a Barcelona Sightseeing tour a few years ago off Spirit which included Goudi's Parc Guel (?) and this only dropped off near Sagrada familia for photos. Did not include entry.

Thanks everyone. I have just booked "Barcelona and Sagrada Familia" with Thomson. With 5 or 6 ships in that day I could not cope with the hassle of booking online and then trying to get there on time, bearing in mind the horrific traffic last time we were there :O

 

Also if you get there too early you have to run the gauntlet of the gypsies stick roses under your nose and robbing you!

Yes I asked Thomson on Facebook and was told it was Palamos, then another message to say it was Barcelona!! Typical. The trips are for Barcelona anyway :)
