sunmomma0618 Posted July 19, 2016 #1 Share Posted July 19, 2016 Hi We are interested in a back to back in the Caribbean. What is involved?? Do we have to get off then back on? Which ship would be best? Thanks
cntrydncr1 Posted July 19, 2016 #2 Share Posted July 19, 2016 You will have to get off but then you will be the first back on...about an hour or so off the ship. I personally would pick the itineraries you like as opposed to the ship. but that is just my opinion!
Anung Un Rama Posted July 19, 2016 #3 Share Posted July 19, 2016 I'd also try to get the same cabin so you don't have to pack and unpack again. Both times we've done a B2B we had the same room and it's pretty easy. You'll get a letter on the last night with a place and time to meet. can't hardly wait Posted July 19, 2016 #4 Share Posted July 19, 2016 I was off the ship about 10 minutes on the turn around day on my back to back out of New Orleans. Had the same cabin so left everything in my cabin (talked with my cabin steward to be sure he knew I was doing a back to back), met at the designated time and place for back to backers and was guided off and back on the ship. They made it pretty easy.
Viesczy Posted July 19, 2016 #5 Share Posted July 19, 2016 Like others have said, if you're doing a B2B it is easy on turn around day. You'll meet somewhere centralized with the other B2B folks, then you'll clear customs and get back on. Now if you're heading ashore you may only be allowed to get back on once the rest of the pax are allowed to start boarding.

dulcimergirl Posted July 19, 2016 #7 Share Posted July 19, 2016 We've done several B2Bs.. they have always walked us off and right back on. One time, they just handed us new cards, and we didn't have to walk off/on. They make it very easy for you! It's the best way to cruise!
sfaaa Posted July 19, 2016 #8 Share Posted July 19, 2016 Another added bonus on B2B: delay the inevitable end-of-cruise depression feeling for a few more days.
pusywillow Posted July 19, 2016 #9 Share Posted July 19, 2016 What happens when you have to change cabins?
Ms. Fun Bunch Posted July 20, 2016 #10 Share Posted July 20, 2016 What happens when you have to change cabins? On both of my B2Bs I changed cabins. The last night of the first cruise I packed my suitcases and the next morning the cabin steward moved my luggage to the new cabin. It was very easy and I can't wait to do another one.
