RCcruisinfamily Posted July 21, 2016 #1 Share Posted July 21, 2016 We are cruising Saturday and hubby brought up how rock hard the beds were on our last two cruises. Does Oasis have the slab beds? He wants to bring a camping mat, I told him we would be fine. Input would be appreciated.
StlGal Posted July 21, 2016 #2 Share Posted July 21, 2016 (edited) You can always request egg crate padding to be added to the bed if you feel that it is too hard for your liking. FYI... when we were on the Allure, we did find the beds to be rather hard. Edited July 21, 2016 by StlGal

As of a recent decision there is no "egg crate" bed padding being offered or provided due to health reasons. Apparently they get rather "nasty"..... Didn't want to take a chance as my DH has back issues. Request the egg crate foam toppers (we had 2 on our bed) from your stateroom attendant. Or, better yet, e-mail the following RC Dept. and request the foam toppers in advance. They do run out of them on occasion. specialneeds@rccl.com Or, you can call Crown & Anchor if you are a member & request the toppers, which is what I did. 1-800-526-9723

I would still call C & A and see what the alternative is for extra bed padding.

Tweety63 Posted July 21, 2016 #7 Share Posted July 21, 2016 We were on Oasis 6/25 sailing and had a D7 ocean balcony on deck 9. Our bed was quite comfortable; no issues. Enjoy the Oasis😃
CruiseTobey Posted July 21, 2016 #8 Share Posted July 21, 2016 (edited) Also on Oasis 6/25 (Boardwalk balcony) - wife and I slept like a baby. The mattresses are much better than the ones on Adventure! Edited July 21, 2016 by CruiseTobey
Ocean Boy Posted July 21, 2016 #9 Share Posted July 21, 2016 I really like the beds on Oasis. I think they are very comfortable.
Lordnlkon Posted July 21, 2016 #10 Share Posted July 21, 2016 You do realize this is a very subjective question right? What one person thinks is comfortable another might think is rock hard.
luvcarnival Posted July 21, 2016 #11 Share Posted July 21, 2016 We were in Oasis 7/2 in a Boardwalk Balcony and thought the beds were extremely comfy. It actually felt as if there was some sort of topper on the mattress even though we didn't ask for one. I told my husband I was taking the bed home!
renech Posted July 21, 2016 #12 Share Posted July 21, 2016 We just got off last week and there was some type of padding already on top of the mattress. We were in a BB cabin.
