hlb76 Posted July 28, 2016 #1 Share Posted July 28, 2016 We are traveling with my son and my grandkids on a 5 day cruise in Oct. We are looking for something to do in Freeport. I was there years ago and just remember needing a tour if you wanted to get tot he beach or do anything beside walk around the small shopping center. We are really on a tight budget as we are covering most of the bill for this trip. Any suggestions for a budget friendly day where we can enjoy and the kids can enjoy too? hokkaido Posted July 30, 2016 #2 Share Posted July 30, 2016 We had a trip to Paradise Cove with 3 and 7 year old kids just 3 weeks ago. It was beautiful and less crowded area which is located on the other side of the island. I reserved online before cruising and a van picked us up at the port. While the other rides for more expensive tours are very old no-A/C vans or buses, we were so pleased to get on a new Toyota van with A/C working. It takes about 20 to 25 minutes to the beach though, the drives gives us interesting guide about the island and Bahama that you will never get bored. Once you arrive there, you can enjoy beautiful beach or snorkeling or kayaking. Everything is in one place, so you can watch your family enjoying water sports while you are just relaxing at the beach. They have a snack bar offers at reasonable price and lockers and changing rooms, too. I highly recommend this place. You can view this place from YouTube or their Facebook page. hokkaido Posted July 30, 2016 #3 Share Posted July 30, 2016 Forgot one thing. Please bring water shoes for your toddler because it's a kind of rocky in the water when you want to walk around the shallow area with your kid. Not flip-flops as they are too loose in the water.
