4th of July on a ship

Has anyone ever sailed on the 4th of July? Does Carnival do anything special for that holiday??

We were on the Triumph cruise that left NOLA on July 4th. There was a huge American flag hanging in the atrium when we boarded. The sail away party had a July 4th theme and the Lido was decorated red, white and blue. National Anthem sung then there was a Ms. Carnival contest and several other activities including drink specials.The Dive In movie that night was changed from The Intern to Captain America. All in all it was pretty fun but so hot that day. Heat index was 112 at sail away.
