Oldcruiser99 Posted August 3, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 3, 2016 There have been changes to the 14-day itinerary of the QV leaving Venice Aug. 20. We now have Sarande and Kotor. The two stops in Turkey have been dropped.
Host Hattie Posted August 3, 2016 #2 Share Posted August 3, 2016 I'm guessing Sarande will be a new stop for many. One of my friends is currently on holiday in Corfu and went there for a day trip earlier this week. He said the site at Butrint was well worth a vist. missalto Posted August 3, 2016 #3 Share Posted August 3, 2016 We are on the QE in Oct and wondering if Kusadasi will be dropped. One of your substitutes, Kotor, is absolutely beautiful .

Butrint National Park We have been to Sarande but did not take the excursion to Burint (got good feedback on it from others, though). The seafront promenade is elegant and could be mistaken for many places in more prosperous countries. Go inland a few streets, though, and you will see a more typical Albania, which we found very interesting and untouristy. It is very cheap: as an example, the Chief Security Officer on our ship (a Yorkshireman, even though the ship was German) happened to take the same tender ashore as us. He has a house on Corfu and said that he often popped across to Sarande as he could get a haircut for 2 Euro!
