Smithsonain Travel Magazine Features the Danube

While browsing in my local B&N bookstore this morning I came across a Smithsonian Travel Quarterly magazine totally dedicated to the Danube river, including articles on Vienna, Budapest, the Wachau Valley, Bucharest, the history of the river, and more. The photographs were stunning. The magazine would be a great read for those who are looking forward to cruising the Danube!

I bought the magazine at my local Barnes and Noble store.

Unfortunately, my local Barnes & Noble has received the fall issue on Alaska and disposed of all of their summer issues. :(

 

Placed my order (thanks for the link) and will just have to wait patiently the 2-3 weeks they say it will take. At least my trip isn't until November.

Went to Barnes & Noble in neighboring village...the fall edition is now on the shelves and the summer/Danube edition has been removed.

 

Ordered one online today...maybe I'll read it on the plane.
